you might ask.... well, in my years of studying the french language, its an expression that i have always loved. if you've studied french you will also know that i didn't conjugate the verb vivre properly but, i was going for easier name recognition and an attainable web domain. so yes i butchered the french language a little bit.
now what does the expression mean? the joy of life (or living). weddings at times can be arguably the greatest joy of two individual's lives. hence the reason i chose it for my jewelry company's name. not to mention, jewelry is quite a joy as well, wink wink... the line is a creative approach to wedding jewelry. if you've shopped for wedding jewelry you know that there is a severe lack of creativity when it comes to bridesmaid jewelry for sure, and i have yet to find awesome bride's jewelry as well. my goal is to provide brides and their attendants with jewelry that i can customize to their wedding color scheme, or to their personal preference, and it will last long after their wedding has ended and the marriage has begun.
i started making jewelry while in college under another business name, and when my friends started getting married, i was asked to make custom jewelry for their weddings. i did and to this day those girls are still wearing their jewelry from the weddings! so when it came my turn to be the "engaged" one of my friends i started down the road of visiting bridal salons, shopping for the dress, the shoes, the jewelry? not much out there to choose from... so right there in the middle of a salon, i decided, i will help those brides who are in need of something other than the subpar silver, pearl and clear crystal jewelry.
